Trekking in the Ahrntal
The village of Lappach is situated in a very peaceful location surrounded by nature. In the summer, many visitors enjoy taking a short pleasant walk to the Lappach reservoir lake. From the lake there are a large number of further options for trekking in the South Tyrol Ahrntal, ranging from simple hikes between mountain lodges to more challenging mountain tours.

In Lappach itself you can use our pub facilities and the keep-fit trail free of charge, and combine these with a walk to the Lappach waterfalls. In Sand in Taufers a whole range of facilities are on offer for rafting, canyoning etc. Lappach is ideal for undertaking these types of sport and people often arrive here by water. There are also a number of fixed rope climbing routes in Sand in Taufers and the surrounding area.

Culturally too you won’t be disappointed.

Concerts, dance evenings, talks illustrated with slides etc are organised on the village square in Lappach. Taufers castle is the best preserved in South Tyrol, as the structure has largely remained standing. Guided tours in German are also offered. The bus service to get there starts directly in front of our hotel, and afterwards you could walk to the Reiner waterfalls, which are well worth seeing.
